New Jersey Shower Update
We've had yet another change here in the Cahill family. Two weeks ago Laura went into pre-term labor. Luckily, it stopped on its own after a few hours in the hospital, but Laura has been instructed to take it easy and stay close to home. As such, we're going to re-schedule the NJ baby shower on January 13th.
Instead, we will have the shower after baby Cahill is born. We will not be doing presents at that point since our son will be a few months old already, and meeting baby Cahill will be plenty of excitement!
If you would still like to send a present, (please do not feel obligated!) you can ship it to Susan's house (see above) and it will be opened at the VT baby shower.
Please let us know via the poll below if you'd be interested in attending the VT shower via Zoom, and we will look into that option based on demand.
Stay tuned for updates about the date!
registry
The parents-to-be have been gifted a lot of hand me downs from clothes to cribs. If you would like to purchase a gift, please consider showering the parents-to-be with a gift from their specially curated registry.

Don’t be surprised that there aren’t too many clothes on the list, Laura has already been shopping!

You may view the registry on Babylist

If you prefer to buy a personal gift, one of the best gifts you can give would be a children's book! We do not have many stories to read to our little one yet. We would love a used book from your childhood or one that was read by your children. Whether you purchase new or give used, please sign the inside cover!
other off-list ideas include cloth all-in-one reusable diapers, disposable diapers (we will be using a combination of both), wipes, swaddle blankets, and burp cloths. Can't get enough of those!
q&a
What do I wear to a baby shower?
Whatever you want! This is a casual event. Come in jeans, a dress, sweatpants, whatever makes you comfortable.

What is the food situation?
We will have a selection of hors d'oeuvres and light options throughout the party, but we will not have a formal meal. Make sure you save room for dessert though!

What happens at a baby shower?
I'm not sure about other showers, but come ready to play games, enjoy some food, and catch up with friends and family. We are expecting about 30-40 people at each shower, so we may not open gifts, depending on time.
